1. Booking

A trip is confirmed once we receive your signed booking form and a 30% deposit. The remaining balance is due 60 days before departure.

2. Cancellation by you

If you cancel more than 60 days before departure, the deposit is refunded minus an administration fee. Within 60 days, cancellation fees apply on a sliding scale. We strongly recommend you take out travel insurance with cancellation cover.

3. Cancellation by us

If we have to cancel a trip due to force majeure (cyclone, political instability, pandemic), we will offer you the choice of postponement or a refund of monies received minus any non-recoverable third-party costs.

4. Insurance

Travel insurance with adequate medical and evacuation cover is mandatory. Madagascar has limited specialist medical care; serious cases are evacuated to Réunion or South Africa.

5. Liability

Authentic Madagascar Tours acts as a tour organiser. We are not liable for delays caused by airlines, weather or third parties beyond our reasonable control.

6. Jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of Madagascar.
